Shoka`s direct ancestors on both the mother´s and the father´s sides bear redolent old Rhodesian kennel names like
Pronkberg, Umvutcha, Mushana, Chucklenook, Lionhill and Sarula.
Shoka`s father, Multi Champion Pronkberg Makari,
is a great, strong-boned dog and a real African.
He was born in the well-known Pronkberg Kennel
of Dr. Steph Potgieter in South Africa.
Makari´s mother, Sarula Gwiza, was inseminated in 2002 in Afrika
with frozen sperm from the already deceased dog
Apalachee Umqolo of Pronkberg.
Makari was imported from South Africa
and now lives with Sara Venturelli in Italy.
Makari has demonstrated his qualities at numerous international shows

Shoka´s Mother, Multi Champion Shangani Ufalme Lioness, comes from the French Shangani kennel of the family Dr. Christine and Wolfgang Blumberg
and is descended from the lines
Mushana, Pronkberg and Umvutcha of the Sankey family in Bulawayo.
Ufalme has also been able to demonstrate her qualities in the ring and is,

Shoka is a large-framed and strong-boned dog,
who gives a very strong overall impression.
He has a very expressive masculine head with correctly hung ears,
excellent upper and lower lines with impressive breast and depth of breast.
Shoka´s front and back leg posture permits him very long-legged and flowing movement with lots of push, which he likes to show at the wheel.
His temperament, as well as his intelligence and his natural watch dog and hunting dog instincts, show him to be a real Ridgeback.
He is very friendly and open with people including children and has a very sovereign and balanced character.
